List Services is responsible for all of the list processing involved in your direct mail campaign. We receive the lists you (or your broker) have acquired and convert them all to a standard record layout. These lists may come to us as 1600 or 6250 BPI tapes, as 3480 or 3490 cartridges, or they may come to us as ascii files via e-mail or FTP. If necessary, we will send your list to an NCOA provider to meet USPS Move Update requirements. We maintain agreements with several NCOA vendors, for various list sizes, that give us 24 hour turnaround at competitive prices.

We will CASS certify (if necessary) your list and execute a merge purge job to remove duplicates. Be aware that Kable Fulfillment Services^SM is a signatory to the DMA privacy promise and urge you to use the DMA mail preference removal file as a suppression file with your merge purge program.

Depending on file size, and your requirements, we will either presort the list to the carrier route level, or sort it in zip code sequence for our presort house. Our goal is to minimize your overall mailing cost.

The final step in the List Services process is the production of the final personalized piece, whether it is a label, post card, personalized insert, or ink jet tape. Your job is then delivered to the lettershop for insertion, metering, and mailing.

The Direct Mail Coordinator distributes a Direct Mail schedule and meets regularly with the Direct Mail Team, which consists of representatives from Graphic Services, List Services, Printer East, and Lettershop.
